The 200 Challenge - July Update

It's time (well, past time, really) for The 200 Challenge update, July edition!  I can't wait to see how you all are doing with spending less on groceries in 2010!  If you're new to The 200 Challenge, you can read all about it here.

Sorry that I am so very late posting this.  In case you didn't know, I've been having a really rough time with this pregnancy and haven't been able to keep up with all the normal stuff.  And I had to get all my spending figured out too...since I've had several different people picking up stuff at the store for me, I had to do a lot of receipt collecting and totaling.  :-)  For the month of June we spent $222.98.  I was really hoping that we would be under budget this time, but at least we are still doing fairly good compared to an average family this size I think.  What I really struggle with when I'm pregnant: being expensive.  Of course I do have to admit that there are a few pregnancy craving restaurant runs that fell through the cracks.  I always seem to crave expensive stuff during my pregnancies.  :-(  Maybe I should just adjust the grocery budget when I'm pregnant...after all I am eating way more and feeding two people!  :-)

I hope the rest of you did a lot better than me!  I also don't have any menu plans at this point because what I want changes so much right now.

Now it's your turn!  How did you do in June?  What do you plan to do different in July?  Blog about it anytime this month then come back here and link up!

I think that adjusting your budget during pregnancy it just fine :-) You are still doing amazing to be feeding that many people on your budget! Keep up the good work Sarah! It is worth it even if you only save a few dollars. Saving is saving! Glad you are feeling a little bit better!
