Name matching for children

This is one of the best ways that I've seen for teaching a child how to spell their name.

A little bit of cardstock, a sharpie, scissors, and some sticky velcro, and you have a reusable name learning tool!

This has been great spelling practice for my 2-4 year olds!

I got this name matching idea at Fun in ECSE.  :-)

Hey awesome idea! Im a preschool teacher and take alot of classes and Im always asking what Kindergarten teachers want us to teach before they arrive. One of the debates has been capital and lowercase letters.

Just thought I'd share what the most recent request is. They want us to teach children only lowercase letters, and when we teach them their names to do capital and the rest in lowercase. Over 80% of print is in lowercase.

Just wanted to share the latest findings...its been so back and forth on this issue. Love the new books you shared about God. Thanks...my son loves to listen to Bible stories his favorite right now is when jesus walked on water.
