DIY Plastic Bag Dispenser

Want to make your own plastic bag dispenser?  I used a kleenex tissue box {not a really skinny one}.  My husband used a screwdriver and two short screws put through the back of the box {from the inside} to attach it to the inside of a cabinet door in my kitchen.  It works great and I love that it is hidden from sight!  Plus it was completely free!  :-)

We use an old baby wipe container but I would never have thought to hang it like that! Neat! Great job you two! Did he use any washers or anchors to help secure it or were the screws enough? Lula Mae likes to help me "get the bags" and I feel like her tug on it may be a bit much. How secure does yours feel? Just wondering :-)

I sewed one together out of scraps of fabric and its too pretty to hide, But this is a wonderful idea!!! I never thought about this.

This is so much cuter than the old plastic milk jug that we use. Thanks for sharing!

I used to use a tissue box and now use an oatmeal container, but I never thought to mount it. I think I will go back to the tissue box and mount it like you show. I love that idea!

Amy, it's pretty secure, but with a lot of tugging by little hands it might come off. I didn't use any washers (although I thought it would be a good idea) because we didn't have any lying around at the time to use and I figured I'd see how well it worked without them. Oh, Abigail likes to help empty the small trashes so she gets the bags and puts them up sometimes too, and it has stayed put well so far. :-)

A baby wipes case is a great idea also! It would probably be more sturdy and you could mount it. I just never liked how hard the bags were to get out when you have the lid on, but maybe I didn't have the same kind you do.

Well if yours is standing up to the little tugs I am sure it is fine!

I took the rubber part off of the wipe case to make the bags easier to pull out. The only problem I have is the lid opening up if I tug too hard... but I think if I hot glue it shut that will fix the problem.

What a great idea! It's really resourceful and you can design your own box as well.
