Easter two thousand and eleven

We had a wonderful day celebrating the resurrection of our Lord.  How overwhelming it is to reflect on Jesus' sacrifice for us.  Sunday after church we spent time with family.  The girls had an egg hunt and we took some family pictures.  Taking a family picture is one of our Easter traditions now.  We didn't plan it at first, but it just happened and then we noticed we've been taking one every year on Easter for the past 4 years.

Hard to believe the twins were almost bald this time last year.  And the year before that, all my girls were little babies still.  Wow, how much things have changed.  Not to mention we have 4 children now...all three and under.  We are very busy and so blessed.  :-)

This quote has been challenging me lately.  It really makes you stop and think.
"Christ did not die to forgive sinners who go on treasuring anything above seeing and savoring God. And people who would be happy in heaven if Christ were not there, will not be there. The gospel is not a way to get people to heaven; it is a way to get people to God. It's a way of overcoming every obstacle to everlasting joy in God. If we don't want God above all things, we have not been converted by the gospel."           - John Piper
I want to treasure God above ALL things.  I want for my life to be proof that I would not be happy in heaven if Christ were not there.
