More Than Alive Products Review & A Giveaway!

Being a lover of natural stuff, I'm always excited to find companies that offer great natural products for good prices.  I've been a big fan of More Than Alive for a while now, and I have been super pleased with all of their products that I have tried.  You've probably seen their banner on my sidebar.  :-)

Last week, I was blessed to receive a complimentary care package from More Than Alive!  There were several different things in it, so I'm just going to go through them one by one and share my mini reviews with you.  :-)  You can read the full product descriptions and benefits for each product on the More Than Alive website...it's a lot of great info!

Roobios (Red) Tea:  I love this tea!  It comes in loose leaf form and tastes and smells amazing!  I've been drinking it hot lately, but I think it would make a great iced tea too.  More than just the taste, I love the nutritional value.  This tea is full of minerals and helps to relieve nausea, constipation, heartburn, stomach ulcers, headaches, insomnia, and more.

Chia Seeds:  These little bitty seeds are packed with nutrition!  I have only taken them a few times so far, but I plan to keep it up.  My favorite way to use these is in my homemade smoothies.  I have also sprinkled them in salads and put them in baked goods like muffins and breads.

Lavender Oil:  I have loved lavender oil for a long time!!  It is super calming and I often use a combination of lavender oil mixed with water to spray on our sheets before bedtime.  Lavender oil is also great in baths, massage oils/creams, and works amazing for healing burns.  We love it around here, and always make sure we have a bottle or two on hand!

Healing Herbal Bath:  This is just a pure herb blend to put in the bath.  I haven't actually tried it yet, but I can tell you it smells delicious!  I read on the website that it can be used by moms after birth (similar to a sitz bath).  Since I'm due in a few more months, I think I'll save it for that!  There is nothing better than a relaxing bath to help heal after a hard labor!

Organic Raisins:  We love raisins, but I don't think we've had organic raisins before.  Of course I most always think organic is better...it means they don't have icky pesticides, etc. in them!  These raisins are moist and yummy!

Arrowroot Powder:  I've most commonly known of Arrowroot Powder being used as a thickening agent, similar to cornstarch.  I have used it that way, but until I read about it on the More Than Alive website, I didn't realize that it also has calcium and sea minerals that are very important for maintaining acid and alkali balances in the body.

Redmond RealSalt:  This is just natural, unrefined salt, which is naturally much healthier than the table salt that we buy in the store.  Because it is unrefined and not bleached white like standard salt, it has a pretty, natural color to it.  The Redmond RealSalt also has lots of nutritional value as well, such as 50 trace minerals including naturally occurring iodine.

Bentonite Clay:  This stuff is fascinating!  This clay can be used both internally and externally for many healing purposes.  As a clay mask, it helps to cleanse and tighten the skin and pores.  It can also be used externally in baths and as a poultice for bug bites, stings, etc.  Taken internally, it helps to cleanse the body of toxins.  Basically it absorbs toxins like a sponge and carries them out of your body.  How cool is that?  I have only tried this as an external clay mask (and loved it!), but I also plan to try it internally too.  :-)

Activated Charcoal Powder:  This powder can be taken internally to absorb and neutralize poisons so that they are carried out of the body, decreasing the duration and intensity of the symptoms.  It can also be used for general detoxification which results in longer life and improved overall heath.  I haven't personally tried this, but I think it would be great to detoxify my body from all the harmful stuff that builds up there!  Since there is a lot more specific information on the website, especially regarding the directions for use, I'll let you read more about it there.
