Menu Planning Monday 7-13-09
I know I say this a lot, but we are really trying to eat cheap and simple again this week. Cheap, because we are trying really hard to pay off all of our debt as fast as we can, and simple, because I am a mommy of 3 babies and my days don't leave time for gourmet meals unless my hubby is home to help. If I can put together a healthy and simple meal that is cheap too...then I have succeeded in my meal goal for the day, and we are all happy. This week's menu is almost completely made up of stuff that we already have in the pantry or freezer. I think I will only need to pick up a few things from the store this week. My goal is to stay under $20 this week...I'll let you know how that goes!
Happy Cooking!!
Monday- Lasagna, Garlic Bread (from last week)
Tuesday - Costa Rican Pinto
Wednesday - Leftovers
Thursday - Pita Pizzas
Friday - Pinto Beans, Perfect Potatoes, Green Beans
Saturday - Leftovers
Sunday - Grits, Eggs, Biscuits, Orange Juice

$20 is a hard goal. I've been trying to do that and never seem to get there. Good luck!
pita pizzas sound like fun! i've done english muffin pizzas but never tried on pitas.
Oooo english muffin pizzas are good too!
Sounds like a yummy menu! We live on a tight income as well. I think we're going to have breakfast for dinner for one night and pintos and cornbread one night also. Those are always good cheap meals. :)
God bless,
Amanda
Great plan on a budget - thanks for stopping by my blog too!
Wow! I'm impressed with your budget, and I will definitely want to know how you succeed as I'm sure you will. I could use some lessons:) Your babies are just precious.Beginning August 5, I will be hosting Crock Pot Wednesdays at diningwithdebbie.blogspot.com. I hope you can join us. There will be prizes:)
Costa Rican Pintos sounds good! What is your recipe?
